Smart Maintenance on Tokyo Trains

For the roughly 34 million passengers on Tokyo’s JR Yamanote train line every week, IoT is used to gather real-time data that helps maintain the network in a smarter, timelier manner for better efficiency and safety. The new system is a big innovation over the previous one of simple periodical maintenance.
